Alexis Varbero, president of Schwartz Design Showroom and the third generation of family members to run the organization has announced the opening of Fulton Street Design Center in Edison, New Jersey.
The new design center will house Schwartz Design Showroom with expanded space to showcase its manufacturer partners. In addition to furniture manufacturers, the space includes a 2,500 square-foot mezzanine area dedicated solely to fabrics and wallcoverings.
Fulton Street Design Center will also serve as a home to additional related tenants making it an inspiring destination for interior designers. The 12,000 square-foot design center is more than twice as big as Schwartz’ existing New Jersey showroom.
The new space will also feature amenities that designers can take advantage of including a kitchen where designers can meet with clients over a coffee and light fare, private conference rooms for client meetings or simply a quiet space to take a call or do some work. It’s touches like these and ongoing customer service and support for designers that sets Schwartz apart in the industry.
“For nearly 75 years Schwartz Design Showroom has been driven by the dual mission of working with the best manufacturers and providing superior customer service to our interior designer clients,” explained Varbero. “Fulton Street is simply the evolution of that dual mission. We can now better showcase our manufacturers and do so in an environment that allows us to serve our designer partners in new and innovative ways.”
The location in Edison, NJ was chosen for its proximity for the many New Jersey designers that Schwartz Design Showroom serves as well as its central location for a growing number of New York and Philadelphia-area designers. These designers seek out Schwartz Design Showroom and Varbero for her well-earned reputation for customer service and support.
